Notre Dame College of Education was located in Bearsden, Glasgow and Craiglockhart College in Edinburgh, about 50 miles apart. When the two colleges merged it was decided that all training should be located at Bearsden, Glasgow with some of the Craiglockhart buildings being retained as a centre for research and development and for generating in-service activity.
