Activity history |
Until 1892, the College presumably only handled academic appeals against the results of class work and examinations set by the lecturers and professors. Any appeals would no doubt have been dealt with by the College Secretary together with the professors and lecturers subject to the approval of the Executive Council. Any appeals against the results of the Glasgow University local examinations which women were allowed to take, would have been handled by the University. After the union of the College with Glasgow University in 1892, women became eligible to sit the University degree examinations. All academic appeals relating to the results of these degree examinations were now therefore handled by the University Senate. Further appeals could be made to the University Court. Handling appeals against the results of course work and examinations remained the responsibility of the College. In 1935, the College buildings were sold and the whole administration, including handling academic appeals, passed to the University. |
