History

The Senior Management Group was formed in 2004 as the result of a change of name of the Management Group.

Mandate

The Group advised the Principal as chief executive officer of the University on matters of policy. It also advised the Court and Senate on matters of strategic policy (academic and resource), and acted on a day-to-day basis to implement the policies of the Court and Senate.

Administrative structure

The Management Group sat outwith the University's formal committee structure. It comprised the Vice-Principles, Secretary of Court, Clerk of Senate and Deans of Faculties.
