History |
The first Principal was appointed in 1879. The post was created as part of the implementation of the plan to transform the institution into a technical school. |
Mandate |
The Principal was responsible for the whole of the educational arrangements of the Institution. He also had the immediate charge of the classes for natural phiolosophy, mechanics (applied to civil and mechanical engineeriung) and steam and the supervision of the drawing classes. |
