History

The Popular Evening Class Committee was appointed by the Trustees of Anderson's Institution.

Mandate

The Committee was responsible for the management of the popular evening classes.

Administrative structure

The Committee comprised sixteen members, elected by and from the popular evening classes. A president, secretary and treasurer were elected yearly by and from the Committee. The Committee appointed subcommittees as necessary. It reported to the Trustees .Ordinary meetings were held quarterly and special meetings when required.
