Mandate |
In 1879 the College introduced a three year certificate program providing a progressive pattern of classes called junior and senior science. Junior science was the first year of study and included classes in mathematics, chemistry, mechanics and drawing. The next two years were to provide more in-depth study depending on the students' occupation. The College also awarded diplomas in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemistry and naval architecture, which were gained through three years of study and an apprenticeship. |
