Activity history

Queen's College, Dundee was created by the University of St. Andrews Act 1953. This act was the outcome of a royal commission appointed in 1951 under the chairmanship of Lord Tedder. The act dissolved the governing bodies of University College, Dundee and placed the government of the new College including legal matters in the hands of the Court of St. Andrews University, which was remodelled.

In 1967, by royal charter, the college became the University of Dundee.
