Activity history |
The University was established by the Secretary of State by means of the Glasgow Caledonian University (Establishment) (Scotland) Order 1993 and was designated eligible for funding from the Scottish Higher Education Funding Council. The University's governing body, the University Court, was constituted by the Glasgow Caledonian University (Scotland) Order of Council 1993. A closure order closed the two parent institutions of the University, Glasgow Polytechnic and the Queen's College, and transferred their property rights and obligations to the University Court. Various statutory instruments were also laid before Parliament to regularise the University's position. |
