Activity history

The constitutional basis of the University, formed in 1964 through the amalagamation of the Royal College of Science and Technology and the Scottish College of Commerce, was a royal charter, sealed in August 1964 at Balmoral Castle by Elizabeth II. This established the Senate and Court and vested in them responsibility for the management of the University including its legal framework.
