Activity history

Since at no stage in its history did the college award degrees, there were no graduation ceremonies to be organised. Diplomas, however, were awarded to those students who had attained a certain level of excellence. Prizes and certificates of merit were also awarded. These were initially presented to the students at a special dinner and subsequently at the annual meeting of the subscribers. The visiting committee of the governors and, from 1896, the teaching committee, set the price of the dinner ticket and authorised the secretary to make all the arrangements for the dinner.
