Activity history

No formal student recruitment scheme was in operation at the institution. However, the professors drew up advertisements for their courses and lectures, which, after approval by the managers, were inserted in local newspapers. At the request of the managers, the secretary also sent copies of the syllabuses to schoolmasters requesting them to draw their pupils' attention to the courses on offer. The popular evening class committee appointed an advertising subcommittee to carry out similar measures.
